Your own Private Island awaits. A 1970s houseboat dream that floats amongst the quiet Bushlands and rivers of the Dharug nation. A unique place to dream, be inspired and at peace. Laze in the hammock by day, gaze at the stars from your bed at night - see the latest @ _oh_buoy Included in your stay is a motor boat, double kayak & paddle board. A fully stocked pantry, fishing tackle and rods, champagne on arrival and much more 🧡

Oh Buoy will take you back to the 70s with it’s Mid Century vibe. We have a fully stocked kitchen, fridge and pantry so if you forget something theres no need to worry. NB. One night stays Sunday-Thursday. Min two night stays Friday/Saturday. Other Details to Note

Oh Buoy is completely off grid. It is powered entirely by solar with ample lithium battery storage which allows consistent power, even through consecutive cloudy days. We also conserve rain water in the hull so we ask that you are mindful of your water usage whilst aboard and don’t leave taps running. Due to insurances, Oh Buoy only sleeps two. Please get in touch if you wanted guests to visit whilst aboard or if you are planning for an event

🧡Ahoy dear future guests 🧡 Would you mind please agreeing to the following prior to coming aboard Oh Buoy ⚓️ *To not have any other guests come on board (unless prior agreement has been made) *To remain under the 4 knot speed limit. *To familiarise yourself with basic boating knowledge *To be mindful with water usage and conserve water use when on board *To only cross behind the ferry when it is safe to do so Heavy fines apply for breaching speed limits or having extra guests aboard without prior request. Events will have to be confirmed and planned ahead of time or fees and charges will apply. A late checkout can be arranged in advance, at an extra charge.

Berowra waters is an untouched wonder in Sydney. Quiet, peaceful and home to the amazing Berowra Waters Inn where the award winning chef, Brian Geraghty, will give your tastebuds a night to remember. If you fancy a fish we recommend throwing out a line direct from the front or back decks-or if you’d rather an explore, take the motorboat out and anchor in a nice quiet cove to try your luck or pack a picnic and just enjoy the serenity. If you feel like getting into nature the Berowra waters walking tracks will be your guide. Countless spots to discover and lookouts to climb to. Guest Access

You have private access to Oh Buoy and will not be disturbed, save for some ducks who may come for a visit. Oh Buoy is securely moored in a stunning location on the river. From here you can use the motorboat to explore all around or paddle to the nearby waterfall (when it’s been raining) on the paddle board.

What an amazing experience, beautiful location, interiors, lighting and another little boat to swan around in. The best fun and relaxing little getaway I have ever had. Great hosts to boot. Treat yourself, it's worth it.

What a magical place! Pure relaxation and the onboarding to French cafe music really set the seen! Jessica is just wonderful! Highly recommend during your stay to visit the Berowra Waters Inn, it's closer than you think and makes the stay that little bit more special. Thanks for having us!

This was a truly magical experience, unlike any other weekend getaway I’ve had! Jess & Laurie were such great hosts - super friendly, warm, welcoming & helpful. They’ve put so much thought & creativity into making Oh Buoy the perfect floating escape & there isn’t anything I’d change about it. The retro decor is just gorgeous & makes for a really unique vibe, and they really did provide everything we needed - cheese & champagne on arrival, fresh bread, milk, fruit, yoghurt, coffee, snacks - all greatly appreciated. We cooked a beautiful sunset BBQ on our first night and then took Ginger just up the river for a delightful Italian meal on the water on our second night. We spent our days lazing in the hammock, listening to music & reading books on the deck in the sun, and the surrounding bush and beautiful river made it all very peaceful & relaxing. It was very special and we will 100% be back! Highly recommend.

Had a wonderful experience on Oh Buoy. Life on the river was both fun and relaxing. Taking Ginger out and paddling around on the kayak was a highlight of each day. The houseboat was a delight to spend time on. Jessica was a great host, very attentive and considerate. If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it. I would highly recommend.

What a beautiful space Jessica and Laurie have created - the perfect place to unwind. Oh Buoy is full of character and all the little extras provided like the full pantry and gin and tonic mixer is just perfect. I’m so glad we stayed an extra night - it was well worth it.

Find us

There is free parking at the Marina car park, just ensure you park in a car space and not one designated for a car and trailer. Alternatively you can park in Kirkpatrick way, on the other side. The ferry is free and we would recommend parking at the marina. Once aboard you can explore all around the river.
